Template Letter to MPs about Proposed Changes for International Students

Posted by Benjamin Leatham, 20/07/2015

We are sending letters to our local MPs about the proposed work changes for international students, and you should too! (Tom was in a meeting but is definitely sending a letter) To the best of our knowledge, International Students in HE will not be affected by the work rule change - but those in FE will, and we want to show our support for the IS body as a whole. The more people that send one, the more impact it will have!

The template letter for you to send can be found by following this link.
https://docs.google.com/a/yusu.org/document/d/1lpdJGWf4caPVBLd7pdYf8W8D3lFW0K_0aLZybmTqcbU/edit?usp=sharing

Feel free to send it as an email or a physical letter. If a physical letter there are hyperlinks included to help you find out your MPs address etc... There is also a section in the middle for you to personalise the letter.

PLEASE PLEASE take five minutes out of your day to stand up for international students. They add so much value to the York experience and deserve our support.
